Description

Portable and cassette toilet waste tanks need an additive that manages odours and organic waste between emptying. Agar Portacare is a concentrated blue liquid sanitiser for portable toilets, sewage holding tanks and sanitary pan systems.

Its surfactants reduce surface tension and separate organic matter from the tank walls, allowing the treated waste to wash away more readily. A deodoriser and citrus perfume address unpleasant odours, while the blue liquid masks the appearance of the tank contents.

Waste Tank Care for Caravans and Commercial Transport

Portacare gives caravan owners and transport operators a measured treatment for toilet waste tanks where capacity, waste load and emptying intervals vary.

Reduced gas build up: Portacare controls bacteria levels, which reduces gas forming inside the waste tank.

Tank seal compatibility: Portacare will not harm tank seals when it is used as directed.

Waste and paper breakdown: The liquid breaks down sewage and toilet paper before the tank is emptied.

Commercial holding tank use: Separate dosing guidance supports bus and aircraft holding tanks with different waste loads and discharge intervals.

High treatment yield: A 5Lt container makes about 66 standard treatments for a 10 litre waste tank, reducing the product used per service.

Where it can be used:

  • Portable toilet waste tanks
  • Cassette toilet waste tanks
  • Sewage holding tanks
  • Sanitary pan systems
  • Caravan, camper, mobile home and RV holding tanks
  • Bus holding tanks
  • Aircraft holding tanks

Usage Guidelines

Before first use: Empty and rinse the tank to remove all traces of other additives.

Portable toilet waste tanks: Add 75ml of Portacare per 10 litres of waste tank capacity, then add 2 litres of water.

Cassette toilet waste tanks: Add 75ml of Portacare per 10 litres of waste tank capacity, then add 3 litres of water.

Longer emptying intervals: If the tank cannot be emptied within one week, increase the dose to 120 to 150ml per 10 litres of waste tank capacity.

Bus and aircraft holding tanks: Add 20 to 50ml per 10 litres of tank capacity. Match the dose to the waste load and time between discharge.

Caravans, mobile homes and RVs: Identify whether the vehicle uses a cassette toilet or a larger holding tank, then follow the matching method above.

Emptying interval: Empty the waste tank at least once a week where practical.

Chemical compatibility: Do not mix Portacare with other chemicals. Oxidising agents, soaps and anionic detergents are incompatible with Portacare.

FAQ

Q. How much Portacare should I put in a cassette toilet?

A. Add 75ml of Portacare per 10 litres of waste tank capacity, then add 3 litres of water. If the tank cannot be emptied within one week, increase the dose to 120 to 150ml per 10 litres.

Q. Will Portacare harm cassette toilet seals?

A. Portacare will not harm tank seals when used as directed. Keep other additives out of the tank while Portacare is in use and rinse the tank before changing products.

Q. Does Portacare break down toilet paper and solid waste?

A. Yes, Portacare breaks down sewage and toilet paper. Its surfactants separate organic matter from the tank walls so treated waste washes away more readily.

Q. Can I use nappy soaker instead of Portacare?

A. Use Portacare when you need a measured waste tank sanitiser with confirmed dosing for odour control, bacteria levels and waste breakdown. Nappy soaker is a laundry product rather than a like for like replacement, so never combine the two and rinse the tank before changing additives.

Q. Can I mix Portacare with another toilet chemical?

A. Do not mix Portacare with other toilet chemicals. Before first use or when changing additives, empty and rinse the tank thoroughly because oxidising agents, soaps and anionic detergents are incompatible with Portacare.

Q. How often should I empty the waste tank when using Portacare?

A. Empty the waste tank at least once a week where practical. If a longer interval is unavoidable, increase the Portacare dose to 120 to 150ml per 10 litres of tank capacity.
