Agar Spruce pH Neutral All Purpose Cleaner 5Lt

Most sites end up carrying several cleaners, one for floors, another for glass, another for the washroom, plus the training that comes with each. Agar Spruce is a water based all purpose cleaner concentrate for the everyday jobs, mopping, machine scrubbing and spray and wipe work on washable floors, walls and hard surfaces. It takes on the general grime a building collects through a working day.

How Spruce lifts the daily grime

The surfactants in Spruce lower the surface tension of the water, then surround the oil and dirt so it releases from the surface and washes away with the mop or cloth. It is a mild cleaner rather than a harsh one, which is why it reads as an everyday workhorse instead of a specialist stripper or degreaser. Mixed to suit the job in front of you, it gives cleaning teams one dependable concentrate to reach for first.

Where it can be used: 

Spruce is made for washable hard surfaces across a building. Mixed to the right strength, it suits:

• All washable hard floors, including timber, terrazzo, marble and other alkali sensitive floors
• Walls and painted surfaces
• Glass and windows
• Laminated surfaces
• Toilets and washroom fittings

Spruce is a concentrate, so mix it with water to suit the job. These rates are a guide; step up the strength for heavier or more stubborn soil.

Everyday mopping: 1 part Spruce to 80 parts water, about half a cup per 10 litre bucket.
Heavier mopping: 1 part Spruce to 40 parts water, about one cup per 10 litre bucket.
Auto scrubber, small tank: 500ml Spruce per tank for lighter soil, 1 litre for heavier soil.
Auto scrubber, large tank: 1 litre Spruce per tank for lighter soil, 2 litres for heavier soil.
Spray and wipe: 1 part Spruce to 15 parts water in a spray bottle.
Glass and windows: 1 part Spruce to 300 parts water.
Toilet bowls: 1 part Spruce to 2 parts water, about 100ml per bowl.

Apply with a mop, cloth, spray bottle or auto scrubber to match the area. Do not mix Spruce with other chemicals unless the label or Safety Data Sheet states it can be done.

The information below is for Spruce concentrate as supplied. Once it is diluted to 1 in 15 with water or weaker, it is no longer classified as hazardous.

Hazard classification: Spruce concentrate carries the signal word Danger. It causes skin irritation and causes serious eye damage. It is classified as a hazardous chemical, and is not a Dangerous Good for transport.

Handling and protection: wear protective gloves and eye or face protection when handling the concentrate. Keep it out of reach of children, wash contacted skin thoroughly after handling, and keep containers tightly closed and away from oxidising agents.

First aid:

Skin: wash with plenty of water. If irritation occurs, get medical advice. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Eyes: rinse cautiously with running water for several minutes, removing contact lenses if easy to do, and keep rinsing. Get medical attention straight away.
Swallowed: do not bring on vomiting. Rinse the mouth and give water to drink.

Spills: contain the spill and keep it out of drains and waterways. Absorb it with sand or vermiculite, collect it into a labelled container for disposal, and wash the area afterwards.

Environmental and disposal: Spruce is not classified as harmful to aquatic life, though detergents in general should be kept out of waterways. Dispose of in accordance with local council and regulatory requirements. Do not pour concentrated product down stormwater drains. Refer to Section 13 of the current Safety Data Sheet for disposal requirements. Empty HDPE and PET containers can be recycled.
