How to use Surge for spot stain removal:

• Dilute 1 part solution with 5 parts water

• Allow to sit for 2 minutes then blot again
• Repeat if required and rinse or extract the area

• Vacuum carpet and remove or protect furniture
• Dilute depending on soil level
• Heavy soil use 1 part solution to 100 parts water
• Medium soil use 1 part solution to 175 parts water
• Light soil use 1 part solution to 300 parts water
• Pre treat stains using 1 to 5 dilution
• Extract carpet and allow to dry
• Rinse with clean cold water for best results

Spotting:

Dilute 1 part Surge to 5 parts water.
Pre-test: Apply the solution in an inconspicuous area and cover with a clean white towel. Leave for 5 minutes and check for color transfer. If evidence of color transfer is found, do not proceed.
Blot excess liquid or remove solid soil before cleaning.
Using a trigger spray, apply the diluted solution to the outside edge of the stain without oversaturating the carpet.
Work the product towards the middle of the stain with a clean white towel. Avoid spreading the stain by scrubbing with a sponge.
Leave the product on the stain for 2 minutes.
Blot the treated area with a clean, wet white towel.
Repeat the process until no more soil comes up in the towel.
Always extract or rinse the spotting solution to remove the stain and chemical residues.

Note: Surge generally removes stains of a protein or oil nature and some ink stains. It may not remove old wine, tannin, or soft drink stains, although some may be lightened.

Extraction Machine:

For single-pass hot water extraction, Surge can be added directly to the extraction machine tank.
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly and move furniture or place foil under legs.
Dilute Surge as directed:
Heavy soil: 1:100 parts water
Medium soil: 1:175 parts water
Light soil: 1:300 parts water
Pre-spot heavily soiled areas or stains with Surge diluted 1 part to 5 parts warm water.
Pre-test: Apply the diluted solution in an inconspicuous area and check for color transfer.
Extract the carpets and leave them to dry.
Rinse the treated area with cold water and extract.

Pre-Spray:

For traffic lanes or heavily soiled areas, use Surge as a pre-spray detergent.
Vacuum the carpet thoroughly and move furniture or place foil under legs.
Dilute 1 part Surge to 10-15 parts water.
Pre-test: Apply the diluted solution in an inconspicuous area and check for color transfer.
Pre-spray the carpet, ensuring even wetness without saturation.
Allow the pre-spray to remain on the carpet for 3-5 minutes. Work in manageable areas and avoid letting the pre-spray dry.
Extract with cold water and leave the carpet to dry. If necessary, provide ventilation to reduce drying times.
