Agar Bleach 5% - Cleaner and Sanitiser 5L

Agar Bleach 5L is a versatile solution of sodium hypochlorite that contains 5% available chlorine. It serves as an effective whitening agent for laundry use, ensuring clothes stay bright and clean.

Usage Instructions:

1. Laundry Whitening: Follow the recommended dilution instructions on the product label. Avoid splashing bleach on clothing as it can cause damage to fabrics, especially cotton.
2. Surface Cleaning:
   • Mildew and Mould Removal: Use a 1 in 20 solution of bleach (50ml of bleach per liter of water) for cleaning tiles, grouting, baths, basins, and shower recesses. Scrub if necessary and rinse thoroughly.
   • Sanitising Food-Preparation Areas: Ensure surfaces are pre-cleaned, then apply bleach solution to sanitise. Follow up with a rinse if required.
3. Toilet Cleaning: Add 60ml (1/4 cup) of bleach to the bowl, brush all surfaces, leave for 5 minutes, then flush.
4. Blood Spill Cleanup:
   • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (rubber gloves, safety glasses, plastic apron).
   • Absorb blood with paper towels and dispose of them in a sealed garbage bag.
   • Clean the area with warm water and detergent.
   • Apply a 1 in 3 bleach solution (100ml bleach plus 200ml water) to the area, leave for 10 minutes, then wipe and dry.
   • Dispose of the bleach solution down the sink with plenty of running water.

Caution

NEVER MIX BLEACH WITH ANY OTHER CHEMICALS, especially acids, as this may produce toxic chlorine gas or other poisons.

• Handling: Always wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling bleach.
• Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
• First Aid: In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately.

Environmental Impact:

• Proper Disposal: Do not pour large quantities of bleach into the environment. Use water to dilute bleach solutions before disposal.
• Biodegradability: Sodium hypochlorite breaks down into salt and water over time, reducing its environmental impact when used and disposed of properly.
